I am the founder of the organisation Broken Grey Wires, exploring mental illness through art. For the past 8 years I have been writing proposals, liaising with artists, communicating with major art institutions, insurers, technicians, community groups and charities. I have written countless Art Council grants, and have become experienced in working out how to set out your thoughts, income, costs and workload. I have been knocked back for a good chunk of these grants, but I have also been successful with a huge number of them, learning along the way that this a competitive market, and sometimes rewording, or simply putting it in again, will be enough. Every project that I have devised and developed, I have been funded for, eventually! I have learnt the lingo, and how to articulate creative ideas into language that is sought after.

I am now offering my services to emerging artists, or anyone who would like some support. We can discuss your ideas and what you want the money for, how to organise your budget, timeline and project plans. I can be as hands on as you need, and will support you applying for your first grant, or encourage you to apply for your 20th!
